Large Scale Processing
Our KNLL Composters are suitable for processing a large amount of waste coming from the up-sizing livestock industry in these recent years. Dealing with a large quantity of waste every day is one of the problems most livestock farmers are facing, and if not processed properly it can cause environmental problems such as groundwater contamination, emission of bad odor and a huge outbreak of flies.
Composting manure can be done manually by using a shovel loader, but it will be a tough job if there's a large amount to be processed. By automating the process, it is possible to make the work much simpler and also to produce a high quality organic fertilizer at the same time.
KNLL Composter is automatically operated by using timers and sensors. The operator's job is only to place the raw materials into the machine and to take the final products out. Therefore, 1 operator can manage multiple machines. During the process, ammonia and other type of gases will be released due to microorganism’s activities which makes it difficult for people to work for long hours. But by using Kohshin composter, working hours can be remarkably shortened.
Features of the Composting Process
KNLL Composters can pile up the manure at a height of 0.9m to 1.5m in the pit. Maintaining the heat produced by the microorganisms inside the manure can help to boost the microorganisms’ activities even further. Due to the activity of these microorganisms, livestock manure can efficiently change into a high quality organic fertilizer in a short period of time.
In comparison with using a tractor or a shovel loader, processing with KNLL Composters can decompose biodegradable substance much faster and produce a high-quality product. And this is why it’s possible to reduce the required land size compared to manual composting.
Our Composters agitate the manure 1 to 2 times a day, while supplying fresh air to the microorganisms to accelerate the composting process. Efficient processing occurs due to the activity of aerobic microorganisms, which produce heat during decomposition that can grow the temperature to approximately 60℃. Maintaining a temperature of 60℃ for several minutes to few hours can kill disease-causing pathogens such as salmonella and E-coli. This is one of the reasons composted products are safe to use.
Pelletized Product using Hatchet Blades
The blades that are used on our Composters are called "Hatchet Blades". With its special shape, it can turn the raw materials into pelletized final products. The Hatchet Blades are designed to cut the raw materials into pieces while agitating and also to supply air to the raw materials efficiently, which helps to produce uniformed products. Furthermore, you can increase the value of the final products by using our Trommel (Grading Machine) to classify the size of the final products.
