What is a Composter?

Livestock industry produces a large amount of manure and waste every day. And we are faced with ethical and legal questions when it comes to throwing away such waste in to the nature. Livestock manure can be converted into safe organic fertilizers through composting process.

Our company has been developing and manufacturing machines for waste treatment since its foundation in 1972 to provide a sustainable solution to the industry. Also, since 2000 we have been actively expanding our market in overseas and providing quality equipment to over 29 countries worldwide (as of 2018).

 

What is Composting

With the right moisture content, temperature and ventilation, the manure will be decomposed by the microorganisms that exist in the manure naturally. Also, the temperature of the manure rises to 60 to 70 Celsius due to the energy produced by the microorganisms during the composting process. With this high temperature, not only the water will evaporate but it can also extinct disease-causing pathogens such as Salmonella and E-coli. Kohshin composters process the raw materials 25 to 40 days on average. So the final product can be used as organic fertilizer that is safe to use for vegetables, fruits, plantation and gardening etc. (Click here for Why Compost?)

 

Advantages of Kohshin Composters

Our Composters are fully automatic. After loading the manure manually to the input side of the machine, just select the switch button and the machine will start the process automatically. The machine has a high durability thank to our special galvanization technique.

In addition, our original Hatchet Blades are designed to produce pellets and to supply a large amount of air into the manure which is essential for composting process. As a result, aerobic bacteria becomes active and the manure will be heaped up.

 

Machine Movement: Continuous/Daily input Type

  1. Place the raw materials from the input side on a daily base.
  2. The materials will be agitated and moved towards the output side with the same distance every day.
  3. After 25 to 40 days of processing, the materials will reach the output side as a fully fermented organic fertilizer (final product)
     → After the first 25 to 40 days, the final product will come out daily.

 

Machine Movement: All-In All-Out Type (Batch by Batch)

  1. Fill out the entire pit with the raw materials.
  2. The machine will move back and forth while agitating (materials will stay in the same place).
  3. After few days to few weeks, take out the final products at once from the pit
